Tuesday, July 17 started out foggy with a low cloud base. Yellow Wings personnel began the day early with a 6:15am spot on CBC Fredericton’s morning show, Morning Information, with Terry Seguin.
Roving reporter Amy Leitner, from the CBC six o’clock news, then joined us for a flight in the Finch just as the low scud drifted off. Amy and her cameraman Dave ended up spending most of the day with the Yellow Airplanes, filming, talking with veterans and basically catching the “Yellow bug.”

Last Thursday four daring little airplanes snuck out of the Gatineau zone and pointed east. Two days later, after stops in Trois Rivieres, Montmagny, and St. Leonard, they and their daring pilots touched down in Woodstock, NB; the Yellow Wings 2012 Down Home Down East tour had officially begun.
Due to the overwhelming success of YellowWings 2011, Vintage Wings of Canada, a charitable organization based out of Gatineau, QC, is running the program again this year, focusing on the Maritime provinces.
